Seriously, For Real...

 


I'm not sure how, but somehow this piece wound up not having a tragic ending.  The article's title got my attention, "HIV-Positive Woman Donated Breast Milk Over Social Media," on Medpagetoday.com.   

An HIV+ women in California donated her breast to parents in a social media group.  This piece is about how difficult it was for health officials to locate & test the milk & infants.  Fortunately, none of the babies tested +.

Why would anyone take untested bodily fluids from a stranger on the internet?  I don't understand.  Even worse, why would they give this fluids to their child?  This should be common knowledge, you don't take bodily fluids from other people without them being tested.  This isn't just about HIV, there are many health risks to consider.
