The Weather....

 

In a little over a week, there's been a nearly 50° temperature swing, astounding pollen levels, storms, winds, hail & over 3.5" of rain.  This hasn't been an easy mid-month.  Most of it's cooler than normal, hazy & humid.  It's making pulling out of SAD very difficult.  The rain's needed, the rest of it was just crap.  Dark mornings, weird light & storm tension have left me a little rattled.  It'd be nice just to have bright, nothing days.  

I did see some articles that looked interesting.  Paywalls blocked them both.  Maybe I'll see the topic somewhere else soon.  I know these people need to get paid & that I'm always low on funds.  But, I doubt very many people could pay for all these paywalls even if they wanted to.  Who cares if they've got great information if no one ever sees it?

Still A Lot...

 

There's been so much on our plates for so long.  Things shift, but no space really clears.  Yesterday's net outage shouldn't have got to me as bad as it did, but I was already just skating by.  It was just another stupid thing someone or something else inflicted on us.  

This is going to be a busy week & we have so much to handle.   Spring stuff is beginning & I don't know what we'll do about that.  The problem is I can't just break for a while.  Everything else is happening at the same time.   Every time I've broken in the recent past, I've wound up in the hospital.   Those trips may have kept me going, but they only delayed what was happening at home.

2026 is wearing me out & it's only March.  The temp swings are hard.  Less than 2 weeks ago, the overnights were freezing.  It's the low 90°s for this weekend.  Add all the pollen & it's a little rough.

Sneezy Morning...

 

The pollen levels have been high for weeks.  There's been a lot of sniffling, sneezing, coughing & eye watering.   This will probably be the way of things for a while.

The car is back.  We'll see if everything is order with it soon enough.  I'm trying to get a drug refill handled with the pharmacy.   Not much else is on the schedule for today.

Warm, Windy & Ridden...

 

Today is sunny & warm.  It's also windy & with lots of pollen.  This will be the end of the sunny & warm for a bit.  Tomorrow is supposed to be colder & storm.  Then the forecast calls for 2 nights under freezing.  This weather switching & pollen may be normal for this time of year, but it's still rough.

There isn't much going on today,  I'll try to enjoy the sun while it's here.   Monday will start another busy week.  After that, it'll be more roller coaster weather.  That's all for now, take care.

Still Adjusting...

 

The problem with this time of year is the wide swing of things.  The light levels are getting better, but dark storms are common.  It's warming & there are 80s in the forecast for highs.  Then again, the same forecasts calls for a couple of overnights just around freezing.  So, it's weird light, high pollen, storms & a 50+ temperature range.  

Those aren't easy things to adjust to.  I probably won't until things settle down some.  For now, I'm achy, tired & my morning blood pressure has been too low.  Transitions have never been my forte.  I'll get there, but for now, this sort of sucks.

Tree Groove...

 

Not much going on this morning, but I will say this, the trees are in the mood.  Tree pollen has been an issue for a while here.  Today was the 1st day the counts hit the high zone on pollen.com.  My eyes, nose & throat will be thankful when this calms down.

Hazy Sunday Morning...

 

This morning's weird light levels are hard on the eyes.  Cloud cover only blocks direct light, not all the UV or glare.  It looks like we could finally get hot midweek before dropping back down.  Other than that day, most of the forecast is for cloudy, mostly cloudy & stormy days.  Way to suck May.  Adding to the off light, are the still high levels of pollen.  The cooler, wetter & darker days of making bugs way too abundant already.

Not much nice to say about this 2nd Sunday of the month.   It doesn't look like the rest of the month will do better weather wise, but that could change.  That's it for now, take care.

Little Better...

 

My blood pressure was still a little low this morning, but I wasn't nearly as dehydrated.  Maybe things are leveling out a bit.   That'd be novel.

There's still a lot of pollen in the air.  Street crews are doing more road work this morning, so there's all that noise & those smells.  Maybe that will be over soon.

Not much going on here today.  My roomie has an short outing, but that's it.  The rest of the week looks to be routine.  The forecast has the end of the month looking dark & stormy.  We don't need that.  We'll take the rain, but keep the dark & rough stuff.

Rough 2nd Monday...

 

We're at the time of year when the temps can't figure out where they want to be & getting comfortable can be challenging.  There's tons of pollen & the winds are blowing debris, so allergies are acting up.  I need to crank up the water, it might help me to not wake up so dehydrated & achy.  

Today is a shopping day & we'll stop by the pharmacy as well.  I think that's about it for us.  I just need to get over this morning's cough fits & stuffy nose beforehand.

Sorta Off...

 

While I'm glad it's getting warmer & brighter, the winds, pollen & temp swings are rough.  I've been waking dehydrated with low blood pressure.  That leaves me sluggish.  The temp swings & pollen are making me ache, cough & deal with bad sinus issues.  

It's going to be in the upper 80s today & could be in the mid 40s tomorrow night.  Those shifts aren't fun.  Maybe after this week, the lows will bottom out in the 50s.  Then I can start stowing away the Winter stuff.

Other than a lot of neighbors doing yard work, yesterday was fairly quiet.  That was nice.

Tree Groove...

 

Not much going on this last Monday of February.  We'll go shopping in a bit.  Only the trees seems to have anything happening.  It's sexy time for trees & they're getting their groove on.  Unfortunately for the rest of us, it means tree pollen is rocketting.  Pollen.com has our area in the red & we'll stay that way for a bit.   Oh the wonders of tree love & all the new trees, sneezes, teary eyes, scratchy throats, etc... they bring.

It Dipped...

 

The temps dipped into the 40s last night & will again tonight.  There have been a weather shifts, winds & high pollen levels for some time.  It's making it very hard for me to get over being sick.  Unfortunately, this crap could repeat next weekend.  It may be May before I get all the blankets washed.

I wish this crap would end.  I'm tired of being sick & dealing with crap mornings.  It's been Spring for almost a month & more so according to the weathermen.  Why are we still getting Winter weather?

Waiting...

 

I'm still waiting for Spring to figure itself out.  It's brighter & slightly warmer, but not enough.  I want more sun & less chilly nights.  I'm still waking in the middle of the night & it's just a little too cool.  Most of the blankets are still out.  I want them washed & stowed for the season.  I'd like some warmth & light.  BTW trees, your blasted orgy has gone on long enough.  Chill with all the damn pollen-gasms.

That's it for now.  There were some pieces about the expected uptick of HIV & other STD's due to texas' ass-hattery.  I know I didn't capitalize the state name.  But that thing south of us is an embarrassment & doesn't deserve a capital letter.  F' texas & every other bigoted southern state, including oklahoma.

Ending's Eve...

 

2022 plans on ending as difficult as it started.  Less than 2 weeks ago we were setting comfortably in the 50s.  Then in about 36 hours it dropped to almost 0°.  Yesterday we were in the low 70s.  In about 10 days there was a 50° drop then a 70° hike.  That's 120° swing.  Add to that, juniper pollen is hitting medium to medium high levels & then the nonstop wind.  It's not been pleasant shift.   We don't need the heaters, but my body feels like we've been on a bad carnival ride.

No Easy Adjustments...

 

There won't be any easy adjusting to the time change this year.  Besides the overcast mornings, the trees have decided to include everyone in their seasonal orgy.  The tree pollen levels have gone to 11.  Actually over that by a bit.  That's as nearly as high as pollen.com rates levels.   I did not consent to be part of frenzied tree copulating.

Just Another Thursday...

 

It's another March day.  Today looks to be decent before tomorrow falls into wintry crap.  The tree pollen is so bad, I spent my morning rinsing my out eyes & coughing my throat clear.  To hell with tree sex & wintry weather.   At least the trash went out with no issues.  This Sunday the clocks Spring forward, joy.  Hopefully with the Spring Equinox the temps will start to rise & we'll get more sunlight.
