More Rain Dumped...

It poured over an inch more rain last night.  We're near, if not over double the monthly rainfall.  That left this morning dark & hazy.  I doubt there will be any sunlight today, just a harsh glare through the clouds.  Upside to this, is the temperature should be lower.

Not much going on here.  I've somehow hurt my left hand.  It was sore most of yesterday.  It's still a little sore this morning.  Hopefully, this will calm down.   I really don't need another health issue.

That's it for this morning.  Take care.

Dreary, Wet & Muggy...

The area monthly rainfall averages were met & surpassed by the 1st week of June.  There's some local flooding, but I haven't seen any postings about anything serious.   That could change with more rain still in the forecast.

It's still dreary & muggy.  This isn't fun to wake up too.  It makes getting around hard.  This time of year, putting clothes on after a shower is a sticky process.

There were articles, mostly over things I've posted about a lot.  Some posts seemed too in the "proof-of-concept" phase to be worth it.  At least there was something.

I'm trying to do better this morning.  These skies aren't helping any.  It's nearly Summer Solstice & it's still this dark.  Summer used to be my reprieve, now there's nothing.

That's all for now, take care.

Dark Tuesday...

This will be a short post.  It's dark.  We could get rain today & we need it.   This area didn't meet it's monthly average for January & there hasn't been any precipitation this month.  I hope it does enough to cover the difference, then move on out of here.

Saw a blip of an article at HIV.gov.  It was about the importance of pharmacist concerning HIV.    I've often trusted my pharmacist over my doctor.  Meds are their area & they tend to better informed.   Check with your pharmacy & see what services they offer.  I bet it's more than just getting orders refilled.

That's it for now, take care.

Soaked...

We've doubled our monthly rainfall totals.  The rivers & lakes are overflowing.  The ground is saturated.  We could still get more rain.   Besides the abundance of moisture right now & is it's potential damage, bugs are thriving.  The yard looks like a pasture, but it's too wet to mow.

Now, watch it get hot & instantly steamy.  It'll be our luck, we probably won't get much rain for the rest of the Summer, which is in 5 days.  Hard to tell, with all the drear.

That's it for now, take care.

Haze, Humidity & Aches...

We've passed the monthly rainfall average for June.  It's a little brighter, but still hazy this morning.  A problem is that all this humidity & higher temps is making me ache.  I haven't had a full gout flare up in years, but I can feel my foot  aching from this.  I can control what I eat & how I much I do.   I can't control the weather.

Maybe this will be a quiet Saturday for us.  It'd be nice.  That's it for now, take care.

Sunday Haze...

The rain's stopped for now.  It's hazy & not likely to get better today.  We had to use the heater again & it may be on overnight if the temps stay low.  An upsides to the last few days is that we exceeded our monthly rainfall average in 3 days.  The pollens been knocked down some.  The allergens will kick back once all this starts drying.

Even with the cold & haze, it could've been a decent morning, except for the chainsaws.  Someone nearby is sawing this Sunday morning.  It seems awfully wet to be cutting.

April started out with disappointment.  I hope it's not a trend.  A good month may be too much to ask for, but maybe a nothing month could happen.

That's it for now, take care.

More Frustration...

We had almost no rain in October & were short in September.  Instead of being normal, the damned weather decides to dump 10"+ on us in 2 days.  That makes up for this month & the last 2 with change left over.  That's only 5 days into the month.

There's flooding & it caused some issues with the house.  We'll have a handyman over tomorrow.  Hopefully, he can get this fixed.  We didn't need this.

Just more frustration & it's election day.

Irritating Conclusions...

There have been articles lately purporting anxiety & depression may be impacting HIV viral suppression.  I'm not posting links to these for 2 reasons; none of them were clear of what they were actually discussing & nor were they clear on causality or correlation.

Meaning, none of these pieces were clear on what was causing what.  Is there a relationship between anxiety & suppression?  Is there non-adherence or is the mental state affecting the body to the point of suppression interference?

Another point, many doctors & researchers treat anxiety, stress & depression as merely mental issues.  Any of them can be mental health diagnoses.  However, sometimes life is & continues to be stressful, depressing & anxiety ridden.  Not all anxiety or depression is due to a mental disorder.  Many meds can induce anxiety or other factors like sleep interference or emotional reactions.

Until definitions are clear & direction of correlation or causality is shown, this research is at best a discussion point.  Putting abstracts out like these does no good.  It supports a hunch & may put further stress on patients trying to maintain suppression.  IMO, unless there is more not shown in these articles, these should not have been published at this time.  At this point, they came across as jargon supported conjecture.

Take care.

PS - we had 7" of rain in 24+ hours.  We passed our average & made up for October.

Over A Third Down...

A 3rd of September has already passed.  A few bills remain, but they're mostly online.  Today will be my 7th time taking Dovato.

It's a dark morning.  There was some rain last night.  Unless there's a lot more rain than the forecast shows, we'll probably be short on rain this month.  We're over for the year, but we still need over 3" for this month.

There isn't much going here today.   So this is it.  Most of the articles out were praising the efficacy of long acting, injectable HIV meds.  At the same time calling them problematic with their high costs.   The expense is putting them well out of the range of most of those who these meds.  Effective or not, unless something happens to the price, they might as well not exist.

That's all, take care.

Very Dark & wet...

I woke to a very dark room.  It stormed all night & kept waking me.  The weather site shows 3"+.  That'd put us nearly 3 times over the rainfall average for August.  It'll probably still get hot today & turn this into a streamy mess.

I got my renewal for SSI disability yesterday.  I really didn't need that on top of everything else.  Still there it was.  It's filled out & will go back on Monday.  Then I wait.

This year hasn't been the worst, but it's still been a suckfest.  I doubt this will be a fun birthday.   Not like there's anything to do.  2000 forward has sucked.

2nd Attempt...

The rain's over for a bit & we passed the month's rainfall average.   The heat's returning & will probably be here the remainder of the month.  Maybe it'll dry things out a bit.  That might help with the aches.

This afternoon, we'll take the van back to the mechanics again.  I called to make sure the appointment was on this time.   Our glasses should be in at the mail place.

I got my license renewed with the Real ID.  I haven't got it yet, this has to be mailed to you.  That's new.  They usually just hand the new license over to you there.  I've got my old card & a print out of a temporary license until then.  It should be here within 30 days.

That's it for now, take care.

Rainy & Dark...

We'd already exceeded our rainfall averages before & all this is just extra.  It's not a flood worry, even now our totals for the month are in the 4" range.  A little over an inch higher than expected.   It's supposed to rain more during the remainder of the month, so it's likely will be 2"+ over the average.  It's also been oddly cool.  Today is supposed to be in the low 80's & nothing over the mid 90s is in the forecast for the next 15 days.  Of course that could change, hopefully it won't.

The post procedure realization I posted about yesterday may be something I never really get passed.  It'd be nice, but I'm not sure it will happen.   That may have been 1 of the only times I've ever known what it was to be that calm & peaceful.  I really wish I hadn't, to be there & then not was really hard.  It may have been the cruelest thing I've done to myself.  Every defense I had was down & then the world came rushing back.

I wonder if some people actually know that level of peaceful calm in their lives.  I bet if they do, they can't be around others much.  Talk about bringing a person down.

Mostly Over...

It looks like the hurricane stuff is mostly over for our area.  The maps show it over Arkansas heading northeast towards Toronto.   I'm not sure how powerful it will be when & if it gets there.  Maybe they could use the rain.  We got over 3".  That puts us over our monthly rainfall average.  It'll be cooler gain today & then back to the normal Summer stuff.  Hopefully not as hot as the beginning of the month.

That's all for now, take care.

More Grey, More Rain...

This week isn't going to be easy on me.  I'm trying not be overly affected by the wet gloom.  I don't know how well that's going to go.

It rained around 1.5" yesterday & is supposed to rain more.  It could be an all week thing.  If so, there will be flooding.  We've exceeded the average precipitation for January.

Here's hoping it doesn't rain all week.  Here's to me & mine not being overly impacted by the seasonal bleh.  I'll be happy to get out of Winter.

Take care.

Not Great Morning...

It's another cold, grey morning.  The forecast calls for  drear for some time to come.   Between tree pollen & heaters,  I'm having nose bleeds again.  I'm not waking well.  It's not full on cortisol issues yet, but I'm shaky & anxious in the mornings.  It's supposed to rain more this evening.  We're already almost 5" over our monthly rainfall average.

That's about it for now.  I hope the sun's shining wherever you are.

Dark & Rainy...

Our monthly rainfall average is a little over 3".  With a little sprinkling that happened earlier in the month, this rain has us just +/- that amount.  That's happened in less than a day.  There are flood warnings all around us.  I'm not sure who's going to get where today.  It's likely a lot of roads are impassable.   They'll probably stay that way for a day or so.  I know we can use the rain, but does it always have to fall in such a short time?  It's OK to spread it out over the whole month.

That's all for now.  It's just dark & wet here.  Take care.

A Little...

We had storms throughout last evening.  They poured  2"+ on us.  November's rain totals are already over halfway met.  I felt like crap during the storms, but I think they cleared the air some.  My breathing seems a bit better this morning.

Tonight we set the clocks back.  Great more darkness.  We finished house bills yesterday.  Tuesday is the election.  Later in the month I have an appointment with my primary care.  Of course there's the holiday.  That's the month so far.

Take care.

Yuck Weather...

It was windy all weekend long.   The noisy, arid, debris ridden air left me feeling like crap.  During all that, at least it was bright.  Yesterday, was a wet dreary mess all day.  It's still dark & raining this morning & the wind's back.  This weather sucks.  Even with this rain, we'll still be shy of our rain averages this month.  That'll make 2 in a row.

There isn't much more to write about this morning.  I'll let this be for now.   Take care.

Lighter...

It's lighter out this morning.  I won't say bright, because it isn't, it's sort of a soft glow through clouds.  Sounds prettier than it actually is.  Oklahoma & Arkansas were noted as the wettest  states for the 1st week of June.   We've already passed our monthly rain average.   Now watch it turn into humidity hell.

I hope the day stays nice.  We need it.  There's also some things we need to get handled.   I shouldn't be this affected by SAD this late in the year, but here it is.  I'm just tired, anxious & spent.

Grey Sunday...

It's very dreary this morning.  It was supposed to rain, but I don't think it did.  We'll probably be short on rain again this month.  This has not been a fun Fall.

I didn't see newer articles this morning.   The holiday is just days away.  A lot of people could be out for that.  It'll probably be light for the rest of the year.

I have a doctor's appointment in the morning.  It's just a regular meeting, nothing special.  I hate that I need regular meetings with him.  It has to be hellishly early or else his wait times are horrible.  The later you go, the longer the wait.  Even his earliest times wind up waiting.  I find it very rude, arrogant & unprofessional.

That's all for now.  I'll get around after I  finish waking up a bit more.  Take care.
