Happy Halloween & October Issues...

 

Halloween is here & it's dismal & dreary.   It's been so cloudy I haven't be able to see the night sky.  This overcast crap could last a couple of weeks.  I didn't need that.  This could've been the last decent day before the time change, but the weather fouled it up.  To all the standard time lovers, choke on it.  

I finally went to get a new PC.  The prices have shot up since February.  Between AI & the orange asshat it's getting hard to afford anything.  I got the system home & figured out my monitor won't work with it.   I had to run to Walmart.  There's 2 problems.  My monitor is now considered to be on the small end of things.  Small monitors are being made less.  Walmart's barely carrying anything in store, besides their on Onn brand.   It's the right size & it was priced well, hopefully it works.

I need to get started on it, but I'm not sure when that'll happen.  Yesterday wore me out & this overcast BS is making it hard for me to concentrate.  I'll get to it as I can.

Goodbye October.  You Weren't a horrid month, but things could've gone better.

Final October Wednesday & Midterms...

 

It's the last October Wednesday of 2026.  The final trash to the curb run of the month.   The meteorologist say we're leaving the 2nd month of Autumn.  Those who base their time on the moon & seasons, say we just entered the 2nd Fall month last week. 

We have some errands today.  After trash, we need to stop buy mail, pick up my meds & do early voting.  The midterm is already here.  It'd be nice if this went well.  It most likely won't for Oklahoma.

October Monday Stuff...

 

Its the last Monday of the month.  There'll be shopping & maybe some errands.   I called in my meds this morning.  Dovato has to be ordered, so it'll be midweek before I can pick them up.  I'm still chipping away at the yard work & Winter prep.  I'm taking this slower.  Maybe I won't do myself in this time.  

Fall's bringing changes in light levels, temps, pressure, etc...  It's making it hard to sleep.   Allergies are still thriving & making breathing scratchy.  I don't handle any seasonal change well.  Add to that, the time change happens this weekend.  I hate that.

October's wrapping up.  I doubt I'd need both hands to count the places I've seen with Halloween decorations.   Store's holiday sections are smaller than last year.   There probably won't be much, if any, of a cheap chocolate day.  We at least watched the Great Pumpkin last night.   That may be it for our halloween.

October Lasts...

 

October 2026 is running out, this is the last Sunday.  This is the last week of light before the hellish time change kicks in.  There'll be early voting this week.  It'd be nice if this went well.  I'm not holding my breath.  Oklahoma has a lot of masochistic idiots.

Seasonal Stick...

 

There shouldn't be much going on today.  The trash is gone & the day's begun.  Hopefully nothing demanding pops it's head up.   

We paid the gas bill yesterday.  October's pay cycle includes our flu shot.  Our pharmacy wears many hats.  They're good at this stick, I usually don't feel it.  I often wonder if they actually did anything.  Later my arm's a little sore at the injection site.  Sometimes I react to the flu shot a little worse, but it's usually gone by the next day.  So far, this year's injection hasn't caused anything by a tender spot on my arm.

The Month Found It's Brrr...

 

October finally found some chill.  OK, now send it back.  This is supposed to last the weekend.  I have no use for it or the dark.  At least it's supposed to be a clear day.

We knew this week was going to be busy.  We didn't know it was going to be filled with so much tiresome, unnecessarily trying crap.  It's like someone said, here's a extra burden & random issue for every step we took.   This week should have been a bit tiring, not nerve wracking, infuriating & exhausting.  BTW, none of the add-ons were our doing.  That nonsense was provided by people who are supposed to know how to do their jobs, bystanders & Fort Smith in general.

Dark 1st Of The Month...

 

We're 3 dark days into October.  So far this month is not going that great.  I'm glad we got some rain, but this gloom is doing me in.  It's so overcast my room is dark even with lights on.  The clouds have hidden the moon.  Clouds have sucked so hard these last few months.  At least are actually bringing some precipitation.  Still, there's no sunshine, stars or the moon; it's just dark, wet & muggy.

This is the beginning of the month, that means bill stuff is underway.  We'll handle it as we can.  Starting the month like this, throws things off just a bit. But, it'll get done.

1st Dark...

 

October certainly got the memo about the dark of the year.  It drizzled all day & stayed gloomy.  It was cooler, but also cloudy & moist.  Not a great combo.  It looks like we got about 2.5" of the 4.5" of rain this month calls average.  We missed it last month by 3".  Despite a rainy, late Spring & early Summer, this has been a really dry year.  

That's about all I have this morning.  It's dark & looks to stay that way until Monday.  I didn't handle the sudden dark well yesterday.  It sucked.

Hello October 2026...

 

It's October, but September didn't leave without a couple of slaps.   The piece we needed to replace on the kitchen faucet isn't being as easy to find as we'd hoped.  It's still a process.   We got home to test the new aerators & they weren't great.  We went & to get another kind.  In between the trips, the trash was shredded.   The culprit, a pig.  Yes, the neighbors have a pig.  I got the trash gathered & went to get a trash can.  By the time I got back, the pig was back at it.  I called animal control.  I'm not sure what will be done about it.  True to form, it was Sucktember.

This 1st day of October we get notified there will be a planned power outage Monday for several hours in the morning.  Great, there goes my morning routine & It's going to make shopping questionable.  The pole situation had been ongoing since August.  There's been a pole in the side yard for over a month.

Wow, October's starting off just great.

It's Halloween, Goodbye October...

 

It's Halloween & I really hope it's a good night for everyone.  I really tried to care about this, but I'm just too spent on everything else.  This month has been hard & November's not looking any easier.  

As much I wish scares, thrills & candy to everyone, I just want this to be over.  I'm really over being this tired & burned out on things.  I'm just not seeing a fix.

It should be a do nothing day.  We need that.  This last month has been busy & stressful.  We'll have to deal with the car again on Monday.  I hope this new place can figure out what's going on with it.  Other than the car, finishing bills & errands is all we have planned for the week.

OK October, I'm already not happy about the 'Ber months being here.  Then your predecessor was awful, busy & expensive.  Things from last month are still playing out.  We don't need anymore agita for some time.   So hold the drama.  

The car's at the mechanic.  Not sure if this something new or the same old game with new twists.  Hopefully we'll find out in a bit.  I need to get around.  Take care.

Fading With The Last Of It...

 

This is the last Sunday of October.   Halloween is almost here & to be honest, I don't really care.  I hate that.  This used to be my favorite holiday.  

So much of what I enjoyed is gone & what's left I can't muster much excitement for.  I should've never stayed long enough to see this.  I wonder whose sick joke it was for me to live this long.  Hell, it was probably mine.  Another plan that backfired.

It's hazy again this morning & I don't feel well.  I spent most of yesterday tired, achey & just feeling off.  I thought sleep might help, but it didn't.  

The light is almost gone & this is the last week before the hellish time change.  I'll lose an hour of light, just some morning asshats can have it.  Sunset next Sunday will be 5:41.  I hope that hour of morning light brings those damn morning people misery.

The dread is hear.  I don't know how well I'll fare this year.  The Summer was weak & frustrating.  I don't have high hopes for the dark seasons this time around.  It's really hard to be this exhausted & out of it all the time & the season's just beginning.

3rd October Sunday...

 

It was another chilly night, but not cold.  After tonight, the temps should warm back up into the 50s overnight.  That will make a difference in sleeping.  

It's bright this morning & I slept better.  I don't want to get used to this.  In a little bit that stupid time change will happen.   Then it'll all start over.  

I hate this time of the year.  Everything's faded & browned.  The only vibrance out there is on some birds & evergreens.   I already miss the butterflies & lightning bugs.  I wish I'd seem more dragons this Summer.  I only saw 3 hummers.  1 of those was at McDonald's on a some orange & pink flowers.

This was not an easy Summer & never felt like I got what I needed out of it.  Now, Fall's here & I already feel like I'm running on fumes.   I didn't need this year.

Mid October...

It's the middle of October & it got cold last night.  I'll be glad when this week is over & more seasonal temps return.  Other than checking mail & taking out trash, today should be mostly handled.

As for the car.  That trip amounted to nothing.  The mechanics couldn't find what the issue was.  Now we wait & see if it happens again.  That sucks.

1st Bit...

 

The beginning of October's been handled & most of the 1st of the month bills have been paid.  What's not, will get handled Monday or online.  So October's here & I'm already hating it.  The days are shorter & temps are dropping.  

There is nothing about this time of year I wouldn't give up for steady sunshine.  I've been in a rather off state for months now, then the colonoscopy sedation happened.  After that, the moods & emotions went to 11 & my tolerance & resistance dropped to 0.

If this is the best it gets & things are just going to keep sliding downhill I'd rather not see 2025.  Hell, I didn't want 58, but here I am.  To hell with the dark of the year.  May all the perky people who love it have a horrible season.  I don't know which I despise more the dark of the year or perky people.

Hello October...

 

A new month is here, please be better than Sucktember.  Of course the 1st week is a bit busy with bills & the like.  It's a bright morning, a good way to start a month.  It'd be really nice if this was an easy month.  

I didn't notice much in articles.   It's mostly the same old song.  It's alway, everyone needs to do more & be more understanding.  This could've been much further along if certain companies didn't value profits over health.  Then there's the ideologues, who use their war on Gays, ethnic groups & HIV to further their social agenda.   HIV isn't going anywhere as long as it's good resource for the wrong kind of people.

1st & foremost.  Happy Halloween everyone.  I hope the day is bountiful for you.  Whether you lean towards All Hallow's Eve or Samhain, may the holiday be rewarding.

3rd, I met with my new medical provider & everything seems settled.  I hope the drama over this matter is done.  Now, I just have notify my specialist.

4th, It's frigid.  I dislike anything under the 60s.  I hate anything under the 40's.  We were in the 20's last night, so I wasn't warm or happy.

Rainy Dreary Sunday....

 

The title says it all; it's rainy, it's dreary, it's Sunday.  The last weekend of the month has sucked.  I'm glad I'm not some kid trick-or-treating Tuesday.  It's going to be cold & wet.  Not good weather for it.  I still would've gone though.  

The month's ending.  I have an appointment tomorrow.  Then there will be the 1st of the month stuff.  Hopefully, I can put all this medical provider drama to bed finally.

Last October Friday...

 

It's the last Friday of the month.  October is nearly over.  I have an appointment with a new medical provider on Monday.  If this works, then I will have made up for both of the appointments that cancelled on me earlier in the month.  I hope this goes well.  

Today's a bit of a nerve trap for us.  The last few weeks have hidden bombs in them.  They've gone off midweek to Friday.  The last 2 were on Friday.  We don't need any repeats or drama.   October has been crappy enough already.  Save it, I'm sure November will want it's share of awfulness as well.
