The last Saturday of the month has opted for miserable weather. It's dreary & sprinkling. The next several days with have overnights below freezing. It's supposed to be bright tomorrow. That'd be nice.
I've not been doing that well. There's been a lot going on & I've been trying not to get sick for some time. I've felt off for quite a bit. It'll be nice when some of our going-ons are handled. 2025 has been rough.

This is going to be a busy week for us & it'll be followed by the 1st of the month stuff. Little of this is of my doing or volition. The benefit crap has put us in a bind & there are lot appointments, errands & regular week things to be handled.
It's a dark, wet morning & I'm already tired. So far, being 59 has absolutely sucked. Nothing good comes from the dark of the year. A few sparkles, bits of candy & holiday specials can't fix these crapfest months. On top of that, the time change is this weekend. It'll be even darker.

Yesterday was cool enough we didn't use the AC. Yay for cooler temps & lower bills. However, there was supposed to be rain that never showed. The morning forecast called for 1 - 2" throughout the day. We got sprinkles. The humidity was awful yesterday. Just walking across the room left you drenched. It was more like condensation than sweat.
Today won't be quite as cool. Maybe the air will be less sopping. That's about it for this morning. It'd be nice not to have extra stuff for a day.

It's hazy this morning after storming last night. For all the noise, it didn't rain much. It's looking like we'll a little short on rainfall for the month. The beginning of April will probably be as dark & wet. That'll be great, start the 1st of the month stuff in the rain.
I'm still a little wrecked from the last few days. Yesterday could've been better, if not for the jolty wake up. It'd been nice if this month ended better, but that won't happen.

I think some groundhog jinxed us. It could've been some fool who loves Winter. We went from having a fairly balmy February to the typical Winter snit. There are quite a few below freezings in the forecast, more rain & precious little sunlight. This could change, but it probably won't. February is the crappiest Winter month.

Last week there were no below freezing temps in the forecast. Now there are a lot. It's dreary again this morning & will remain dark for most of the week, if not the month. It's supposed to start raining this afternoon & pretty much keep going until Wednesday.
A lot of the previous week had light & was a fairly warm. Less than a week ago we hit 80, Wednesday night could be down to 20. That's a 60° drop in just over a week. I doubt I'll fare well. It's going to be dark, wet & freezing. I know the cold & seasonal stuff is needed, but for me, Winter just sucks.
It's a shopping day & that's about it for us. Then it's home to stay warm.

I did not have a good yesterday. I haven't really had any "good days" in quite a while. Still, this Winter has made them worse. The cold, dark of the season has gotten to worse this year. It started early this round.
Last year, I made it to March before things got rough. This year it started during the holidays. It wasn't as cold, but wetter than the previous season. Chilblains & SAD have been issues since December. This is the 1st year I've gotten chilblains on my hands. That sucks & take forever to heal. You can forget them until something bumps them.
It looks to be cloudy for most of the forecast & it's going to get cold again. Not seriously frigid, but some nights under freezing. I'm over the cold, dark & damp.

December has decided to go out dark. gloomy & wet. This hasn't been easy on me. The dreary mornings are rough. The month's ending warmer than normal, but it looks like January has plans on more wintery temps.
The holidays were draining for a lot of people. The season is creeping in with cold & dark days. The results of the stupidest election are approaching. There's exactly zip I can do about any of that. The best I can do is try to keep in a warm, bright place & ignore the orange bastard brigade as much as possible.
If I do have a resolution for the upcoming year, it's only to send a resounding F'off to the asshats & bastards that brought this crap monger bad as a president. IMO if every person who directly or indirectly helped him get back office were to fall over dead, the world would be a better place.

It's dark this morning after raining most the night. It didn't dump the month's worth on us in a single storm, only about half of it. We need the rain. But, the dark, wet & cold are pretty hard on me.
We don't have much planned. I'm glad for that, the rest of the month could turn out to be busy for us. We're normally not out much on Tuesday's, but that seems be the day a lot is getting handled.

It's been warm, overcast & wet. That leads to something, bugs. There's been a lot of flies, some wasps & other flying annoyances. But, the worst of it is fleas. Until it gets warmer & brighter, it's flea season. With all the birds, squirrels, outdoor cats & other animals, controlling fleas is nearly impossible for a bit. Once it gets brighter, warmer & dries out some, they'll die back. For now, it's war.

The forecast calls for a wet, gloomy weekend. Just what I didn't need. It will probably cool down a bit as well. Can't expect temps in the 70s to remain here in February. There isn't much going on here or regarding articles. I let this be today's post.

I'm not enjoying this weekend. It's been a grey piss. It was cooler, windy & wet yesterday. Today looks to be the same. All the piddling rain barely came to half an inch. 0.5" for a whole day of ick. It could've done that in under an hour.
The rains are bringing the temps back down & the grey is reminding us it's still Winter. Tomorrow looks to be brighter. It's been good not to need the heaters for a bit. It'd be nice not to need them much more for the season.

It got warmer yesterday, but I never really felt warm. Even with it being in the upper 60s, I was still chilled. It was still very humid from all the rain. It's supposed to as warm today. Maybe it will dry some of the wet air.
I spent a lot of yesterday sniffling & sneezing. Some trees have started their pollen dumps. So some wet coldness along with a side of allergies. Ick. Oh well, that's just Spring peaking into Winter.

It's going to be hot for the week, ugh... Anyway, this will probably keep the lawn guy from mowing. At least I hope it does. We don't need dead lawn man on the yard. That's not the look we were going for. Not sure what look we were after, but it wasn't that. More like too poor care what it looks like, just get it done.
I opted to spray the edges this morning & look for fire ants. It turned out to be a lot more dewy than I'd expected. Hope what little I did sticks. Oh well, if not there's always the next round. I hate grass.

It rained over 2.25" yesterday. There are probably floods in the area. It never got really hot, but the hellish made up for it. It wasn't a pleasant day & we more than made our monthly rainfall for July. Yet still it's been raining since last night. We've had about another inch. It could be more before today's rains are over. There's more rain in the forecast. It's going to be a wet July. Strange after such a dry June.
Oh well, it' still dark & not very conducive to waking. It's not been a fun morning so far. At least it's just raining for now, not storming.

I don't know if we have Spring any more or if the season just changed so much it's hard to recognize. A ways back, the season started in March & lasted until June. The last few years have been cold until at least mid April. I didn't get blankets stowed until early May this year.
We no longer get bright, springy days with light showers & the proverbial flowers. Instead there's this dreary, cold wet season right after the frigid months. That jumps straight into hot, muggy hell. According to the forecast, most of May will be overcast, cloudy or storming.
Some people doubt climate change, but we used to have 4 distinct seasons here. Now, Fall & Spring are just road bumps between hot & freezing. There's been enough sun for me not to be dealing with full on SAD, but not enough to feel really with it. I don't need hot, but some light would be great.

Oklahoma is being roasted. During the day, it's a dry roast then it turns wet at night. This weather is a bit much, it's supposed to lessen some by Tuesday. I woke up to nearly 90 & a heat index way past that. The AC's going to work today.
The best we can do at the moment is to stay dry. Hard to do when you have to take a shower. This weather makes showering almost useless. If you can stay dry, you're just turning yourself into jerky.

It's lighter out this morning. I won't say bright, because it isn't, it's sort of a soft glow through clouds. Sounds prettier than it actually is. Oklahoma & Arkansas were noted as the wettest states for the 1st week of June. We've already passed our monthly rain average. Now watch it turn into humidity hell.
I hope the day stays nice. We need it. There's also some things we need to get handled. I shouldn't be this affected by SAD this late in the year, but here it is. I'm just tired, anxious & spent.
