Mostly Nothing Saturday...

It looks to be a decent, do nothing day for me.  Those are rare, because something almost always sticks it's head up.  My roomie has an outing later, but I should be done, besides fixing food.

The only thing in the way of articles is how the orange stain is impacting everything in a bad way.  His stench is impacting research, prevention & lot more due to tariffs.  His grossness is truly vile.

That's all for now, take care.

Not Much...

With so much going on with the government, social media & drug developments, it'd be reasonable to assume there'd be more articles out at the moment.  But there aren't.  I guess everyone is waiting to see how things fall before the post more on anything.

Today & tomorrow are supposed to be warm.  Then it'll dive into frigid temps for the next few days.  I'm over cold weather.

That's about it for now.  Take care.

It's Supposed To Be The Holidays...

It's not unusual for me to be off about holidays.  We don't have the best relationship.  But, over the last few years the whole world seems to have gone off of them as well.  There's hardly anything at Walmart or in town telling you it's the holidays; few (if any) decorations, no music, few specialized gifts, no Salvation Army bell ringers, etc...

The number of TV holiday specials has dwindled.  Then channels that look like their showing stuff, it's just a few things on loop.  Normally, I can get lost in the twinkling lights.  Not this year.  Only 1 other house besides us is consistently doing any lights & both are very minimal.   Even the homes that have lights up aren't turning the on.

What little holiday spirit I can usually muster with the lights, music & specials isn't here this year.  Except this time, it's no me.  It seems like everyone has bailed on things this year.  I'm sure they have their reasons, but still I miss the lights.

Apparently the Grinch succeeded after all.

Less...

The 2020's have not been good for me.  It started with Covid.  That caused a lot of hell & the stores have never been the same.  A lot of things I used to buy are never coming back & the prices have soared.

Bit by bit, things have been taken or lessened.  The quality of a lot of things has gone down.   Out internet company is new but sucks.  There's other medical providers & mechanics.  All the tethers we use to ground ourselves are being cut, few by us.

The last couple of years saw my diversions plummet.  Netflix killed DVD's & most of their streaming shows are pretty awful.  Then there were the 2 Hollywood strikes & nothing's recovered from that.  I'm not sure it will.   The comics I read are losing their appeal due to bad writing & art.

The yard may have cats, but other than the occasional skunk & pissy mockingbird, that's about it.  We lost several flowering bushes & the flowers didn't do well this year.  There have been some lightning bugs but not like last year.

Time is running out on the best show of the backyard.  I've seen no hummers, bunnies or dragons.  Some could still show, but it's less likely as Summer passes & it gets hotter.

My health is not doing any better.  Everything takes more & I accomplish less.  Even fixing a small meal, leaves me feeling a wreck.  Things just keep pecking & demanding.

The 2020's have taken my diversions, distractions, my little joys.  They've been replaced with a crappy circus of conservative BS & religious rhetoric.  Great, another election year & olympics.   More stress & less joy.  I wish every conservative & aggressive religious type would fall over & be done.  Then I might have something to smile about.

Blip's Gone...

For the time being, my labs are back in order.  I still don't know if the blip was from me, an error made by the outpatient center or a lab goof.  I'm sporting a fairly large bruise in the crook of my arm.  The worst parts of getting labs are actually the bruising from needle & abrasions from the tape.  At least most places have gotten rid of the tape.

My telemed appointment is in the beginning of March.  A week later the new kitten goes in for his vet visit.   Other than wrapping up the month, those are my upcoming plans.

Take care.

Still Waiting...

I should be at a doctor's appointment right now.  Except I can't be, because at the moment I have no primary care physician.  Mine abruptly retired.  The man could be on his deathbed.  Still, if he'd had even the smallest speck of professionality, he would've had a plan for his retirement or even his death.  It's clear now, he didn't.

I'm exasperated with myself for continuously investing in situations that fall apart & leave me in a lurch.  I should've left this doctor a already, but I was comfortable.   I've spent so much of my life not being comfortable that when I am, it tends to screw me over.  I let things slide because it's easier & then at some point matters can't be overlooked anymore.  How did I get there?  I did it & I should've known better.

Now, I'm waiting for my 1st option to make a decision about if I can be a new patient.  I have to get this going today in some direction.  I'm eyeing a couple of other options.  Hopefully I can wrap this up soon.

Meh...

I had some small hopes.

  • That my last DVD would be back to Netflix
  • That my AT&T autopay would've went through
  • That August would be decent like last year
None of those things happened.  AT&T says my payment should be drafted later today.  If the DVD isn't back by Monday, I'll report it missing & close my account.

I wanted my bill handled as stated.  I want Netflix in my rearview mirror.  It would've been nice to have a decent month in 2023.  So far, no joy.

Take care.

July Ugh...

Unless something changes, I doubt the remainder of the month's post will be much of anything.  Articles tend to slow down during this time.  All I'll have to post about is hazy mornings & BS heat.  It's going to be hot this week, that's the forecast.

At least I'm fairly sure about my phone situation.  They posted a pay date on their site.  AT&T is weird.  If this goes as planned, then things might be back to "normal" with them.

Take care.

Not Today Apparently...

I've been trying to find something to write about here.  Something to feel some motivation about.  That didn't happen.  It seems my lack of creativity even annoyed Blogger.  It kicked me out twice this morning.   Maybe it's trying to give me a hint.

Some people might feel off about that, I don't.  It'll happen when & if it does.  I can't change what gets posted on the net.  I can only sift for anything I want to blog about.  Lately there's been very little.

Summer's here & June looks to go out the dreary bitch she came in as.  It may be hotter, but it's just as dreary.  It's actually more humid & muggy.  For the last several years, June has been a sucky month.  It was the last pleasant month when I was a kid.  After that, you had to wait for September.  Now, even September is contemptuous.

Here's hoping people find the fun & happy.

Less...

For the last several years, somethings, mainly actions by conservative asshats, have caused turmoil in the medical world.  That's especially true with matter dealing in anyway with sex; reproduction, HIV, general testing. These horrible people have continuously attacked these areas & weakened them a great deal.  With that, most articles have focused on these things & not actual medicine.  This current texas judge bastard's decision could wind up being devastating in ways people may never have seen coming.  I hope  he & his dies soon.  That's the nicest thing I can say about them.

So for now, there are lot less useful articles.  There's nothing I can do about that.  I'll catch them when I can.

Not Much...

For the last several years, I've accepted things like  COVID & presidential BS have taken priority over people putting out good articles.  But the parade of issues has never stopped.  We're having heat waves, violence, stupid court decisions, still COVID, fires, droughts, etc...  People how much more do you need to see we're in an apocalyptic disaster movie?  The scientists & social leaders gave their warnings & were laughed off.

I can handle less articles.  I'd really like it if we could all settle our collective asses down long enough to  get through this mess we've created.  I doubt that will happen, so I guess that's that.  I'd love to say it's been nice knowing you, but for most of you out there, it hasn't been.  There were no "good ole days" & at this rate, it's unlikely there will good  tomorrows.

Some Light...

It was chilly this morning, but at least there was sunlight.  There isn't much going here today.  There was even less happening with articles.

All the energy that used to be focused on articles about HIV related items has had to be redirected into other areas for a couple of years.  There were issues with tRump, COVID, elections, riots, etc...  Now, there's the crappy actions of Russia.

People only have so much, their energy isn't infinite.  The resources that used to be focused on HIV articles has been hijacked by life in fairly unprecedented times.  Who knows when things will calm down enough for people to recover,  refocus & begin again?

Take  care.

Warm Normal Day...

Another not much article morning.  There were several about Prince Harry stating he plans on continuing his mother's work with HIV.  Other than that, articles were MIA.

It's bright & warmer this morning.  I know we'll have  more cold & grey days, but I'll enjoy them while they're here.  Trash is back on it's normal schedule after the ice issues last  week.  For  now, it's  nice.

That's it for now, take care.

Nice Morning...

It's a nice, bright morning.  We haven't been having a lot of them.  I intend to enjoy it.  The latter half of this week looks to go to some frozen hell weatherwise.  So, I'm enjoying the sunlight while I can.

There wasn't much for articles this morning.  There were continued posts over Moderna's vaccines & COVID.  Nothing new yet.

That's it for now, take care.

Summer...

It took until the last third of July, but Summer arrived.    It got hot yesterday & it looks to stay that way.  Maybe some of this humidity will burn off & it'll dry out.  It's time to kill the grass & bugs.  I woke to a warm morning, but at least it was bright.  Dealing with SAD is difficult enough, but handling this year with COVID & an absentee Summer has not been easy.

That's it for today.  Articles were sketchy.   Take care & have a good Summer.

Another Grey...

It's another grey morning  the forecast shows more rain chances.  It's supposed to warm up to more seasonal temps,  But, there's still no sign of being much brighter.  I didn't notice any newish articles.  Most are still going on about the anniversary of HIV & COVID issues.  Maybe soon, we can get back to actual info over HIV.

Take care.

Repackaging...

I looked for articles this morning & thought I saw quite a few.  I  didn't. What I actually saw were a bunch of repackaged, slightly rewritten rehashes of  old topics.  Reiteration of important topics is a good teaching method.  Still,  most  articles now are just restatements.  They usually promote existing meds, approaches or ideologies.

I have no new  articles to discuss.   Today is trash day & we're still waiting to find out about our 2nd part of the COVID vaccination. Other than that, we'll check mail & maybe run an errand.

Take care.

Cloudy Morning...

It's overcast & we have rain chances for the weekend.  We need the rain, but I still need light.  Maybe rain will get the smoke out of the air.

It looked like there were a lot of articles. They were all restatements & rehashes.  I'd rather see no articles than rehashes.  Admitting there's currently nothing new is more acceptable than trying to repackage & spin old stories.

Take care.

1 Saturday Left...

It seems like the articles threw in the towel.  I looked for them & most had nothing to with HIV.  Some in my search weren't even health related.  If not about COVID, they were about the holidays.  Both of those are important.  Still, they shouldn't show up in a search for articles over HIV.  Especially when the article is completely unrelated to HIV.

That's it for this morning.  At least it's a bright day.  Only 1 remaining Saturday in 2020.  Here's hoping 2021 pulls its head out. Take care.

Ongoing Nerve-fest...

I can't believe this election isn't settled.  It's Saturday. Nearly everything is focused on this, articles are all but non-existent.  I saw an interesting topic, but all the sites had paywalls or really annoying sign-ups.

The title of these pieces stated the UK is experiencing a 20 year low in HIV transmissions among Gay & Bi men.   If I could have read the piece, I'd have more info.  I hope the lead in was accurate.  It'd be amazing to have a historic low like that.  Maybe I'll find the piece later.

That's about it, take care.
