It got hot yesterday, about a 100°. Then the temps dropped & we got a decent little dump of rain. It dropped the temp down to the low 80s. Then the rain stopped & the humidity ramped up. That was actually worse than when it was 20° hotter. I'll be glad when this heat dome moves on. It's been a hazy, humid hell.
The AC might not be on as early today. We'll see. Take care.

Still no luck for articles. It's not supposed to get as hot today, but it's already warming up. The AC will be on as early. Maybe it'll go off earlier & start later tomorrow. I'm over this swelter. After a while, it starts trying to turn you into jerky.

It's hard to do anything, but feel lousy right now. It's been hot, humid & hazy. By the time the haze is gone, the heat has ramped up. As it cools down, the humidity climbs. Last night was hot & this morning was muggy & loud. The electric company is trimming trees. Tree work on the hottest days is a bit barbaric. I feel sorry for those people doing all that in this heat.

It finally got brighter yesterday, but after all that rain, it's a steam pit. It'll take a bit for all that moisture to burn off. It won't help if we get a lot more rain.
It's bright again this morning. That made it easier to wake up. It's still very muggy.
I tried a different kind of store bought chili. I usually make ours at home. This stuff was awful. I tossed the leftovers out in the yard. It's still there this morning. Usually with an hour or so, whatever I toss out is gone. It's almost gone by the next day. That means, no animal traipsing through my yard wanted anything to do with that stuff.

PS - Keep forgetting to say that the rose of sharon bushes & tiger lilies have been blooming for about a week.
The area monthly rainfall averages were met & surpassed by the 1st week of June. There's some local flooding, but I haven't seen any postings about anything serious. That could change with more rain still in the forecast.
It's still dreary & muggy. This isn't fun to wake up too. It makes getting around hard. This time of year, putting clothes on after a shower is a sticky process.
There were articles, mostly over things I've posted about a lot. Some posts seemed too in the "proof-of-concept" phase to be worth it. At least there was something.
I'm trying to do better this morning. These skies aren't helping any. It's nearly Summer Solstice & it's still this dark. Summer used to be my reprieve, now there's nothing.

Yesterday was rough. It was windy when we headed out to do some shopping. That held for a while & it was alright. But once the wind died down, things were rough. The muggy heat set in hard. It didn't help that ragweed has come back into play. This is the probably the worse allergen for me. I was coughing, sneezing & had eye yick. That weed's here until it rains. That doesn't look to me happening any time soon. It doesn't look to be a lot cooler today.

I almost forgot to post this morning. There isn't much going on today. It's technically cooler, but so much more humid. This isn't pleasant.
The electric bill posted & out energy assistance did show up. We were close to last year's usage. The city has upped the taxes. The bill was 18¢ higher than last month.

It's been hotter & muggier here. But, when you're not used to it, this is more than enough to make you feel off. Even with the fans & AC, there are moments when this is stifling. It's mainly the humidity. Our Summers are always sticky. But the dumps of rain we just before the heat set in has left us in a steam pit.
It looks as if the energy assistance went through. Yay, we needed that. It may not be much for other people, but a few hundred on a bill can get us through several months.

Summer mornings used to bright & things drying off as it warmed up. Now, it's hazy & the humidity doesn't evaporate. The skies keep a low level of clouds filtering out the decent light & making it hard on the eyes. At night, clouds dim the stars & blur the moon. This has been a wet Summer, now it's turned into swelter.
This is probably how the season will go. It won't be a bright Summer, a time of dead grass & bugs. Instead everything will linger due to sopping levels of humidity. I know things need the dew. Still, as it dries, the air thickens. I hate slogging through wet air.

Today could get hot. Maybe it'll burn off more of the humidity. It's been very muggy lately. The lawn guy came yesterday & mowed. The cut grass & debris have gotten to me a bit. It wasn't as bad as the last mow, but the grass wasn't as high.

The final Sunday of June is going to be hot & muggy. It's already very warm & humid. Of course the season couldn't ease into into things. It went from dark & awful to sweltering. Like most things around here, the weather sucks.

Yesterday wasn't the easiest day. As usual, the weather around here refused to slide into something new. No, it went dark, soaked & border line chilly to bright, hot & steamy. As much rain as we've had, it'll take any sunny, bright days quite a while to burn off this humidity. Yesterday was far warmer & muggy than I was used to handling. It was rough.
I can get used to it. Considering this is late June, it wasn't that hot. Summer is here & it brought all the humidity. That's not fun.

Yesterday wasn't as hot as it has been, but the humidity was cranked up. It made the day rougher than it should've been. Everywhere we went was busier than usual. It took more time & effort.
This week of mowing has wrecked my breathing. The debris & dust flying left me with scratchy eyes & a gunky throat. Last night didn't help. Things kept waking me all night. I tried to turn on my bedside fan to buffer noise. It picked then to die.
Things need to settle a bit; fans need to work, there should be less noise & the weather should figure itself out. None of that will probably happen. But that's what would make my life a little easier.

I didn't wake any better this morning. Too much noise & odd atmosphere is making the mornings hard to sleep through. Screeching birds, loud trains, fussing neighbors, rattling trucks, etc... have been obnoxious this week. Things aren't enough this way or that to get comfortable with. It's muggy, but not enough for much of a fan.
I'm already crashing & this season has just started. There's things happening this week, including an dental appointment. Then it's the 1st of the month with all it's stuff. In the midst of that, will be that crapfest time change. I'm exhausted & overwhelmed just thinking about it. I'll get through it, not like I have much of a choice.

I did a bit more than I'm used to yesterday & it shows. My roomie & I were fairly ill Thursday, I was mostly over yesterday, not so much for her. It was a decent day & then a freak rain hit for less than an hour. It was a cold rain, it should've cooled things down more. It didn't, it made everything a damn steam pit.
I slept wrong last night, probably due being me, the stuff I did & the rain induced humidity. I woke & my shoulder was hurting, not just sore. It's still achy this morning. I hate being able sleep wrong. Who the hell decided that should even be possible?

We're heading for a cool down this weekend. It's been muggy & overcast the last few days. We had a busy week & it's not over. All of this has left me a little out of sorts.

The yicky overnight heat has returned. It's wet & swampy. Tonight's supposed to be cooler & then the forecast calls for more decent temps for a bit.
AT&T seems to have processed my autopay. I won't be able to check my bank until Monday. But at least it seems to be working.
The last DVD still hasn't made it to Netflix. I want this over with. I'm ready for this to be over. I hate feeling like that after this long, but it's their own doing.

Yesterday wasn't horrible, but it did get hot & stayed muggy. It keeps threatening to storm at night. So far, no storms or rain, just humidity. The last week of June looks to unfun weatherwise, hot & humid, with an extra helping of both.
Yesterday was the 1st day we turned on the AC. Most people already have had theirs on already. This old house can move air well. Not a great thing during the Winter, but helpful during the warmer months. The AC will probably be with us for the duration.

I've been trying to find something to write about here. Something to feel some motivation about. That didn't happen. It seems my lack of creativity even annoyed Blogger. It kicked me out twice this morning. Maybe it's trying to give me a hint.
Some people might feel off about that, I don't. It'll happen when & if it does. I can't change what gets posted on the net. I can only sift for anything I want to blog about. Lately there's been very little.
Summer's here & June looks to go out the dreary bitch she came in as. It may be hotter, but it's just as dreary. It's actually more humid & muggy. For the last several years, June has been a sucky month. It was the last pleasant month when I was a kid. After that, you had to wait for September. Now, even September is contemptuous.
