Another Grey Morning...

 

It's gloomy here again.  Often it's only getting bright a little before sundown.  A lot of good that does.   I hate these mornings.  I'm trying to get myself going & these clouds are making everything dreary.  They just linger making it muggy.

I'm through about half of the Winter wash.  I'll finish the rest of it this week.  Hopefully, it doesn't cool down again, but the rest of the month has storms in the forecast.  

It was warm enough for me to use a fan for the 1st time overnight.   It was a little much & I'll have to watch when I use it as humid as it's been.  I don't need to catch a cold.  I mainly used it to move some stuffy air & buffer outside noise.

Warm, Windy & Ridden...

 

Today is sunny & warm.  It's also windy & with lots of pollen.  This will be the end of the sunny & warm for a bit.  Tomorrow is supposed to be colder & storm.  Then the forecast calls for 2 nights under freezing.  This weather switching & pollen may be normal for this time of year, but it's still rough.

There isn't much going on today,  I'll try to enjoy the sun while it's here.   Monday will start another busy week.  After that, it'll be more roller coaster weather.  That's all for now, take care.

Odd Temps...

 

It could get to 80° today.  It's just the 2nd week of February.   It's likely there could be a drop in temps some this month or in March.  While I appreciate the warmth, the sudden shift isn't easy.  

There weren't many articles this morning.  Most were still talking about funding & fallout from the orange asshat.  It looks like a lot of people were more focused on the Superbowl halftime show. 

We're still waiting on news about the car.  I'll need to get bloodwork next week for telemedicine in March.  On a high point, it's just 27 days until the time change.

It Got Warm...

 

In the last week it's gone from frigid to unseasonably warm.  There won't be sinks dripping or night heaters for a bit.  It's easier on the breathing, but it came with issues.   

Fairly high humidity followed this weird heat wave.  It made sleeping odd.  I've been used to cold weather sleep & have the bed decked out for it.   I was peeling off covers all night.  The humidity was made me more achy than usual.  Last night wasn't the best sleep.  Still I can appreciate the warmth.

It's February in Oklahoma.  There will most likely more rounds of cold weather.  Still, it's been nice to warm.

Weekly Pill...

 

Lots of links coming here.  This article & this prior piece, discuss a 2 drug combination medication from Merck & Gilead.  Their drugs, Islatravir & Lencapavir have been combined into a single, weekly dose, oral medication.  These studies show some of the progress & efficacy of the research.  With both meds already having governmental approval, this should be just to prove the viability of the approach.  This could be an option for HIV+ people in the near future.  Personally, I'd opt for the weekly pill over the weekly injection.  

This morning has been rough.  I woke to 70° & it felt hot.  Add to that, wind & allergies are an issue.  My body wasn't ready for this & soon it'll be back to seasonal temps.  

We're trying to get our holiday plans in order.  It'd be nice if the worked.  Things seldom go as planned for us.  But we try.

Still

 

The wind is making breathing a bit of an issue.  It's blowing stuff about & not letting anything settle.   This week will probably be the end of the unseasonably warm reprieve.  Then things are supposed to be normal for November.  There could be another overnight freeze next week.  I hope not.  We're not even into Winter yet.

There are some errands & things today but not much.  Tomorrow, I'll see my medical provider.  If things go well smoothly, this should be an in & out kind of thing.

Early Ruckus...

 

Yesterday morning started with a split tree crashing into a fence.  It was loud & blew debris everywhere.  My sinuses paid for it.  I spent the day congested & sneezing.  Today looks to be worse.  The neighbors had people out to deal with the tree mess.   They cut the thing way back.  It should come back next year.  For now it looks like a bad buzz haircut on some unfortunate boy.

It's another warm day, but not as windy.  It's bright out, so I'm trying to focus on that.  By the end of the week the warm reprieve will be gone.   For now, the sky's clear & shiny.

February Clouds...

 

Looks like this going to be a cloudy month.  Most of the forecast is calling for it to be overcast, cloudy or raining.  The temps will fall back down this upcoming week.  That's normal for this time of year, but after this warm week, it's going to seem really cold.

It wasn't a good sleep night.  It got way too warm for a Winter bed.  I was tossing covers & still woke up overheated & dehydrated.   I'm still feeling off from it.

Going Up...

 

It was warm yesterday, 70s.  It was a little too warm to sleep the way my bed is currently made for Winter.  It could be near 80 today.  This week will continue to be unseasonably warm & then next it'll dive back into normal.  Some nights will be under freezing.  

I woke dehydrated & my blood pressure was low.  It'll even out as I get around & get hydrated.  But, next week is going to be even harder on me when we get cold again. 

It's 1st of the month time.  So, we have shopping, errands & bills this morning.  Other than that, it should be a normal Monday.

Groundhog Day...

 

It's bright this morning & it's supposed to get into the 70s today & possibly throughout the week.  The back to seasonal temps.  February can't be trusted, it's generally a rough month.   If you trust the groundhog's forecast, he saw his shadow.  That predicts more Winter.  I guess we'll see.

The 1st weekend of the month is winding down.  Tomorrow we'll get to the business of the month. Other than that, there isn't much planned for us.

Hello February...

 

It's the 1st of the month.  Monday will be the start of bill stuff for us.  The upcoming week is supposed to be weirdly warm.  Then it should drop back into more seasonal temps.  It's hard to tell with February.  It's usually our roughest Winter month. 

Not much is happening.  Hopefully this will be a quiet weekend.  No drama is needed.

Storms Maybe...

 

It was hazy when I woke & I'm still trying to figure out how many, if any, blankets to have on the bed.  We could have another cool down this weekend.  Maybe after that I can start stowing away the Winter stuff.  

The various weather services say we'll have rain, possibly storms later in the day.  They disagree on the severity of the weather.  Here's hoping for the light version.  

Haze & weird temps didn't make for a great waking.  It's still a process adjusting to the morning light.   I'll get there eventually.

Sunny Morning...

 

This is a sunny, warm morning.  Without gripes or articles this post will be brief.  Tomorrow will start bill paying & 1st of the month stuff.   Wednesday errands will be handled on Tuesday due to my telemed appointment.  

By this time next week we'll be an hour ahead.  The  equinox is on the 19th.  Followed by Easter at the tail end of the month.  After 2023, a calm Spring would be appreciated.  We might not get it, but it would be nice.

Waiting...

 

I'm still waiting for Spring to figure itself out.  It's brighter & slightly warmer, but not enough.  I want more sun & less chilly nights.  I'm still waking in the middle of the night & it's just a little too cool.  Most of the blankets are still out.  I want them washed & stowed for the season.  I'd like some warmth & light.  BTW trees, your blasted orgy has gone on long enough.  Chill with all the damn pollen-gasms.

That's it for now.  There were some pieces about the expected uptick of HIV & other STD's due to texas' ass-hattery.  I know I didn't capitalize the state name.  But that thing south of us is an embarrassment & doesn't deserve a capital letter.  F' texas & every other bigoted southern state, including oklahoma.

Warm & Done...

 

It's been unseasonably warm here.  The last couple of days have been in the mid to upper 70s.   There was a lot of wind.  That following days of freezing overnight  temps has left me feeling pretty off.  I spent most of yesterday dealing with seasonal stomach yuck.  Next week is supposed to be quite cold again.  The snap will go in the other direction, the result will probably be the same. 

Most of 2021 has wound up for us.  Just a couple  more rounds of shopping & an errand or so.  I hope more doesn't pile on the top.

The holiday is over until New Year's.  I hope yours went well.  May the rest of the year treat you kindly.  Take care.

It's the 2nd day of December & it's supposed to get  warm today.  We could almost hit 80 today.  That's pretty warm for almost Christmas time.  We don't have much going on today.  We'll start bill paying tomorrow.  We'll try to get our boosters tomorrow.  That's about it for now.

Just Another Muggy Morning...

 

I woke to a very muggy 80 degrees.  It wasn't pleasant.  I managed to walk the yard & check for fire ants.  My shoes are soaked from the dew.  I couldn't do edgework if I wanted.  The skies a dim glow from all the clouds.  This sucks.  

I need to get a shower.  A lot of good that'll do.  I'll be  wet for an hour after, because of all the humidity.  It's like you didn't even shower.

Bright Shiny...

 

It's a bright morning.  It's warming up & the 30 degree overnights seem to be gone.  I'm hearing a  lot of birds & flowers are blooming outside.  Spring is  definitely here.  There will be things I'm not overly fond of this season, but I do like the light  & warmer days.  

I know the lawn mowing & yard yick is right around the corner.   The bugs are ramping up as well.  But it's shining & I'm not cold. Soon, the blankets will be washed & stowed.  The house shoes & jackets will be back in their off season places.

Yes,  there will be yuck, but there will also be sunshine.  I'll try to look at the flowers & not the green pollen mess.   I'll try to focus on the birdsong & not the mowers.  I won't  always succeed, but I'll try.

Seriously, WTF...

 

Less than a week ago, we had overnights in the negatives & couldn't break 20F.   Yesterday, it got warmer.  Today could be in the 70s, with an overnight in the 50s.  That's a 50 degree jump.  Damn weather, how about a second to catch a breath.  Add to that, the trees are dumping pollen like crazy.  It's the most unwanted of Winter & Spring.  Everything needs to calm down a bit.

I know, I'm never happy.  But couldn't anything just smoothly blend into the next thing.  Not everything has to be so abrupt.  Take care.

May Start...

Yesterday got warm.  The warmth & rain really have the fleas moving again.  We never really got to stop dealing with them this Winter, but now they're really showing up.   It'll be warm again today.  

We're going out to handle a couple of the "1st of the month" things today.  I don't want to face all of it tomorrow with social distancing.  This can be annoying enough without adding the 6' thing.   I'll be happy when this goes away.
