The Worst Part...

 

The worst thing I do in a day is generally the worst part of my day & that's waking up.  It's such a massively stupid thing to do.  There's no good in it.  At least not for me.  

I've been trying to do well, but I'm not succeeding.  It's another dismal day & it doesn't look like there will be much sunlight until it's blazing.  Yesterday was OK until a Windows update.  My PC was working OK until then & now the media streaming service keeps turning off.  I can fix it, but I'll have to do it every time until this corrects itself.  Maybe the next update will do it.

Sleep wasn't easy last night.  There was a lot of noise.  The air was thick & the forecast rain never came.  It was just muggy.  I woke weird this morning & I'm achy & groggy.

In all seriousness, screw mornings, waking & crappy overcast skies.   I could've just never woke up & never known any of this.  But I had to wake up.

It's Here...

 

Once again, there will be no real transition between seasons.  I'd put off most of the yardwork, because it had stayed in the upper 80s.  Now, it looks like 70s might be a rare thing after this week.  Instead of gradually cooling, we're dropping off a ledge.

This morning was bright, but fairly chilly.  I'll have to close up the house completely soon.  I hate that.   The fans we be stowed & the outside noise will creep in.  Not to mention relearning the various sounds the house  makes that the fans buffered. 

It's getting dark early.  There's just a little over 11 hours of sunlight.  Soon, the damn time change will happen.  Then it'll be dark stupidly early.   I hate the dark of the year.  

I say "to hell" with the 'Ber & 'Ary months.  I bet they'd say the same to me.

Brighter & Warmer....

 

It's brighter & supposed to be warmer today.  Tomorrow will drop back down to a high seasonal temp & things should settle for a bit.  There may be storms this weekend.  

We don't have much planned today.  It's just some errands & stuff.  A Windows update has been fighting with my antivirus.  I may have found a work around.

Rattled...

 

Easterly winds rattled my windows last night.  It's not common for them to make that much noise for that long.  Trains can make them rattle, but not for long.  Last night, it was happening most of the night due to the wind.  

I'm glad we don't have anything to do today.  I didn't sleep that well.  The noise kept waking me.  I'm glad that's not a common occurrence.

Nearly Nothing...

 

Things conspired yesterday & left me frazzled & spent.  The Windows 11 update was handled.  Then when regular updates  happened, 1 failed.  This  little beast is being a problem for a lot of people.  Still, I didn't need it just after that big update.

I didn't manage much else yesterday & might not this morning.  This is it for now.  Maybe I'll be in a better place tomorrow.

Start The Month...

 

We've got to handle 1st of the month stuff when we go out shopping.  I still have to get cleaned up so we can get out of here.  It would've been an alright morning if  Windows hadn't screwed it up with another botched update.  Microsoft you suck.

I wasted too much time on the updates to get a decent post out this morning.  Maybe tomorrow.  Take care.

Ugh Updates...

 

I wouldn't hate Windows updates so much if they didn't come so often & take so long.  File I could download from any other site in under a minute, take 15 - 30 minutes from Microsoft.  Then there's the  slow install, that usually restarts the process at least once.  Then there's the actual system restart.  An update that on any other program would take a couple of minutes takes 30+ minutes & a restart for Windows.  It's to the point almost every update has a preview, the update & then various patches to fix the update.    Just do it right or not at all.

Every article I saw this morning was over what I  posted about yesterday.  I expected that.  Every time something big happens, there's a flood of articles trying to put in their spin on it.  From what I  can tell,  there's still no more info on the woman whose body may have rid itself of HIV than there was yesterday.   It's going to take some time to get any real answers.  Until then, these articles will be repeats, Op-Eds & supposition. 

Hopefully, it'll be a quiet day.  Windows tried to push 11 on me this morning.  That's not happening for quite a while.  That's all for today, take care.

Nerves...

 

I've been dealing with a moderate level of nervousness for a while.  It could be from a lot of  things.  My nature, seasonal changes, house issues, Windows updates, loads of noise... take your pick or all the above.   It's probably a mix of it.

I wish I didn't have to sleep.  It seems every time I do, little F'ery gremlins show up & screw with things.   Then I wake up to a variety of stressors.  This morning my computer told me, my system can upgrade to 11.  I looked at my roomie's & her's can't.   Joy.  To hell with Microsoft for adding this level of  drama during COVID.  No one needed this.

I won't even consider upgrading for quite a while after it's offered.  I'll wait until at least some of the bugs are worked out.  I don't want to be a beta tester for  Windows.  Do they even beta test anymore?  Or do  they just make it, send it out, hope for the best & then shrug when things go wrong?

That's all for. I need to get cleaned up & gather trash.  Then maybe I can calm down a bit.   I hate waking up.  I wish I knew how other people managed to stay de-stressed, that's something I never learned.

Trash Update...

 

This post won't be as interesting as the title.  It's  another trash day & that means getting things around in a bit.  There was also a Windows update this morning.   I miss the days when you could  install a  program & not worry about updating it.   These things are slow, tedious & often nerve  wracking.    Microsoft, there's got to be a better way.

Meh 2nd Day...

 

This has not been the best morning.  There was a lot  of  noise waking me up & then I overslept a bit.  It's already muggy & warm.  The internet was glitchy.  When all that settled, F'ing Windows had an damned update.  To hell with this morning already.

Other than a ton of technical issues that ate a lot of time,  my telemedicine appointment went well.   My numbers were good.   My next meeting with the is in March.

Tomorrow will be bill day & shopping.  I'm glad that's tomorrow.  This morning is already off to a yucky start.  I haven't even got to shower yet.  September, you aren't supposed to be hotter than August.  Read the memo dammit.

Raindump & Update...

 

It rained all day yesterday.  It was a dark, dismal & outright pissy day.  We got almost 3" of rain.  There's bound to be flooding.  It's a little sunnier today.   With this rain, we're  3.5" over the monthly rain average.   That wouldn't be a bad thing if the rain had been  spread throughout the month & not dumped in a week.  There's still 5 more days in the month & more rain chances.

Windows is pushing a new feature update.  I won't install it for at least a  month.   Maybe that'll get us  past the early people & let them fix as many bugs as possible.  I usually wait closer to 2 months.  This is  supposed to be another smaller feature update.  I'd rather them do small quarterly versions  than big changes.  The big updates always have issues.

Windows updates are  screwing up my morning again.  They never work like they're supposed to & end up eating all my time.  This is it for now.  I hate these damned updates.  After that, I get to go shopping.

Updates & Vaccines....

 

Windows used to mostly limit its updates to a  regular schedule.  I miss that.  Now, it  updates  whenever it  wants.    The problem is, some updates are just bitchy.  They get really annoying when they won't just go through.

There's talk of  another HIV vaccine going into development.  I don't discuss these  much.  The information complex & most  often overly vague.  If  & when, a vaccine looks to  have promise, I'll post about it.  Until then, I'll keep watching.

Another Grey Morning...

 

Yesterday wasn't fun.  It was grey, wet & chilly.  I felt like crap a lot of the day.  The sudden dip into the 40s after being the 80s just days before was too much for me.   I was achy & a little queasy.

I slept with an afghan over my bedspread.  I need to finish all the Winter prepping.   Mostly it's dealing with windows & getting blankets ready. 

My computer still won't deal with the last Windows update.  This update seems to be have caused a lot of people grief.  Way to go Microsoft, make 2020 even worse.  Were you jealous Apple was getting all the hate after hoarding away Charlie Brown?

I wish I had better things to post or at least an articles to discuss.  I don't have either of those this morning.  I think I'll end this for now & just watch the redbirds outside my window.

I didn't find any articles this morning.  I did find that Windows updates are still screwing with me.  This will be brief.  I need to get cleaned up & then go shopping.  The sun finally came out & that helps.  I don't need crap adding to my mornings.  They're usually bad enough for me as it is.

Mid Month Grey...

 

It's as mid October as you can get & it's an overcast morning.  I woke to the garbage truck passing by & a cat demanding petting.   At least the  trash is gone & the cat's happy.  But, damn it's grey.

It looks like the 80s are gone.  It won't be long before the 70's join suit.  I hope it doesn't plunge into cold weather too quickly.   The thought of Winter exhausts me.  

I'm in a state of low-grade loathing of most things at the moment.  I'm over people & their stupidity.  I'm way passed tired of this COVID crap.  On top of all that, grey skies are soon to be here for the duration.   Let's not forget Windows updates are still a crap-fest.   If all of those & more could just disappear & I'd be happy.  Since that isn't going to happen, I guess I'll have to figure out something else.

Cooling Down...

 

Last night was the 2nd night without a fan & the 1st with the windows closed.   I was warm enough, but I woke congested.   The windows will have to be closed tonight, it's supposed to rain.  The next couple of days will have highs only into the 60's.  That's 30 degrees lower than the beginning of the month.  I hope this weather gets back into a more seasonal pattern.  We don't need to be getting cold too early.  

That's about it for now.  Just trying to get through a hot tea & maybe I'll be able to breath better.  This would be a lot easier if the ragweed would just go back to hell.

Annoying Morning...

 

Short post.  I was getting around well this morning, even though it was stupidly dark.  Then, of course, Windows has to screw me with an update.  These damned updates hog everything & are hellishly slow.  Half the time, they have to begin again.  I hate these damned updates.

I need to get around.  We have to go shopping.  Then my roomie has some stuff to handle.  Couldn't this damned update happened tomorrow.  Microsoft, you suck.
