Leap & Goodbye...

 

With an extra day, February is over.  This was a weird month.  It wasn't horrible, but there were a lot of stressors that had nothing to do with us.  Still we got caught in their wake.  It looks like we could end the day with rain.  That's OK, we're short for the month as it is.  I doubt will get enough to catch us up.  So March will start wet.  

So that's that.  Goodbye February.  Less on on the stress & drama would've been better, still for the last year, it wasn't a bad month.

Day 2 of 366 & Last Day...

 

It's the 2nd day of 2024 & it's a leap year, so we get an extra day.  Great, a +1 for more political talk, since it's also an election year.  We can't forget the Summer Olympics either.  Well, actually you can.  I won't watch any of it & I'm sure I'm not the only non-viewer.  2024 will be a year of political & sports crap, oh joy.

Today is also the last day of my year as far as my blog & diagnosis are concerned.  Tomorrow will be their new year.   I've had hiccups in both.  The blog wasn't as strong as it could've been.  It hasn't been since COVID.  COVID is still very present among the articles concerning HIV.  The pandemic & it's after effects have caused hell for the fight against HIV & other communicable illnesses.  

There won't be any promises or resolutions for myself or the blog.  I'll do my best & hope things aren't like last year.  2023 was a year loss, breakage, stress, anxiety & anger for me.  It did a good job of reminding me of place in the scheme of things.  As far as most things are concerned, I'm not even on the social ladder.  I don't expect that to change, but maybe less things will constantly remind me of my station.

2 days into 2024 & so far, we're faring well.  Only 364 more days to manage.  Take care.

February Leapt...

It's a leap year, so here's our +1 for 2020. It's a sunny morning, that's a perk.  It's the last day of February.   This month really flew by.  I'm sort of glad though, it was cold & wet.   Other than some house stressors, it went alright.  So March doesn't have to make up for a lot of February's missteps. 

This article is about HIV in rural areas.  While cities & metro  areas have been more apt/able to confront HIV.  Rural areas are still a challenge.  There've been numerous outbreaks in rural areas since 2015.  Many of them not sexually linked.  May were due to drugs & bad economics.   Conservativism, religiosity & ignorance played big parts in these spikes.

Leap Day...

It's another Leap Year & we're at the end of February a day later than normal.  Not much is happening today.  We did some shopping, but that's about it.  

So long February, you were weirdly warm & barely wet enough.  Overall, it was a pleasant enough month.  Until next year.   Hello March.

I did notice something that may be impacting me.  I had to get salt today & noticed the salt I had been buying hadn't been iodized.  This may have caused some of thyroid problem.   I have to have blood drawn for that next week.  I guess we'll see how this is going.
