Progress & Oversleeping...

Sort of a short post this morning.  The neighborhood was actually quiet this morning & I overslept a bit.  I probably needed it.

My appointment went alright yesterday.  It was a just a meet & greet.   The process was explained, the prep was laid out & the beginning of the process is underway.  The actual screening won't happen until mid July.  I didn't realize it'd take that long.  I'll need some labs before hand & then it'll happen.  It's not over yet, but the ball's rolling.

That's it for today.  Take care.

Somewhat Restful...

Nothing happened this weekend.  Nothing else was dumped on our plates.  No balls of chaos crossed our stars during the last 48 hours.  That was great & we needed it.  Still, we're sick, exhausted & anxious.  Too much has happened in the less than 2 weeks.  At 1st it was just me & adjacent things, then it started hitting my roomie as well.

The weekend without any crapfest was awesome, but we're still recovering.   We're gun shy about going out & doing anything, especially about getting mail.   That's not a worry today, there won't be any mail due to the holiday.

There was no call for any of what happened in our lives since late September.  We did nothing to incur it, still it happened.  Constant streams of things like this  crap is why people drink, do drugs, lose their minds, jump off bridges...

So Life, if you could, just kindly F'off for a while & let us be.  Share your "blessings" with others.  That's for now, take care.

Quiet Morning...

It's bright & quiet this morning.  After the storms we  had last night, it's a welcome change.  Nearly an inch  of rain fell.  We're still low for the month, but I'd like if most of our rain didn't fall in a couple of sessions.  That leads to floods.

It's Veterans' Day, so there won't be any mail.  We  don't have plans today.   Hopefully, this will be an easy day.

That's all for now, take care.

Hopefully Quiet Nothing Day...

We haven't been doing much.  But, there's been a lot going on around us.  Besides COVID issues & horrible ragweed levels, there's also just normal life crap.  The prior 2 of those are compounding the everyday junk.  Turning them from tiny irritants into major sources of aggravation.

Everyday, our neighborhood has a contest.  Who can be the loudest.  Who can mow, power tool, scream, have a fit... the loudest.  Why stop at 11, I'm sure there's a 12 by now.  Even the dogs, trains & various levels of livestock get into the act.   Chickens, mules & goats can be amazingly loud. Yes, all that's in town.

A couple of those things, even with COVID & allergies, is tolerable.  But when they all ramp up & we have to handle things. they can get to be a lot.  Some days, too much, too the point of wanting to murder someone or something.

So yes, I'd like a quiet, do nothing day.  Take care.

Quiet Sunday...

This weekend has been quiet & we needed that.  This year's been both tedious & overwhelming.  For now, things are going OK.  I guess that's the best we're going to get.  Still trying to pound out Thanksgiving dinner, but we've got some ideas.

That's about it for now.  Hope you had a nice weekend.

A Quiet Morning...

I woke to a rarity.  It's a nice sunny morning & the weather is pleasant so far.    Most importantly, it's quiet.  No mowers, no barking dogs, no screaming children, etc...  I don't remember the last quiet morning here.  It's nice.  I hope it holds out a least until I'm completely around.

Noise levels are relative, but I like a fairly quiet homelife.  I grew up with too much  noise.  I've been watching Youtube videos about Indian barbers doing massages.  They're interesting, but some of their shops are busy roads & the street noise is near deafening.  I couldn't handle that for long.

Here I sit, looking out my window at bees dancing over white clover flowers.  There's a light breeze. A small squirrel is scampering between trees.   It is a  pleasant morning.  I needed this.
