This brief article details how half of European HIV+ women were diagnosed late. That means several things, the virus has more time to establish itself & cause damage. It also allows more opportunity for the virus to be spread. The reasons why these women are diagnosed late are varied from social issues, poor access, to lacking of awareness on their part & the medical professionals they see. This is a problem. Earlier diagnosis means better health & less change of further spread.
