This is irritating, but errors do happen. That's why there should be means for retests & reexamination. This article states over 400 people at a Salem hospital could've been exposed to HIV & hepatitis due to poor performance handling equipment.
I'm won't go into much detail, it's in the piece. At least they're offering screening. This should never have happened. It'd been a while since an occurrence this large was reported. Medical facilities have got to getter protocol & means for handling their equipment & procedures.
